Southwest Wisconsin Transit

The Southwest Wisconsin Transit Team (SWTT) was formed in 2006 to explore ways to collaborate and improve existing transportation services, employing a regional approach to the provision of transportation services for area residents. The team includes representation from Grant, Green, Iowa, Lafayette and Richland counties, as well as The Hodan Center, Southwest Opportunities Center, Southwest Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission, Southwestern Wisconsin Community Action Program, and the Wisconsin Department of Vocational Rehabilitation. LIFT was created by the SWTT to coordinate existing services and provide a regional approach to fulfilling transportation needs in Southwest Wisconsin.

Parking Benefits for Carpoolers

Many employers and cities offer benefits for carpoolers!

In the city of Madison the following ramps offer carpool privileges:

Capital Square North Ramp, Government East Ramp, Overture Center Ramp and the State Street Capital Ramp

In Madison, carpoolers are immediately entitled to a monthly parking space in these ramps except the State Street Capitol Ramp. (Carpoolers have precedence on State Street Capitol Ramp’s waiting list but, due to space limitations, immediate occupancy is not possible.)  Eligible, non-City Residents pay the discounted, resident monthly rate.
